NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland’s 18th Annual Evening of Chocolate Gala
Go Ahead, Indulge. It’s for a good cause.
On October 27, 2007 don’t miss NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland’s eighteenth annual Evening of Chocolate Gala at the Glenview Mansion in Rockville. This black-tie optional evening is Maryland’s premiere pro-choice event of the year, attended by more than 400 of Maryland’s leading pro-choice activists and elected officials.
The event includes a delicious array of chocolate desserts donated by the regions finest pro-choice chefs, and a silent auction where our guests bid on a wide range of products, services, and luxury items donated by local businesses and individuals.
Keynote speaker Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown (D-MD) will address the need to ensure reproductive health care options for all women. “Governor O’Malley and I are so proud to be celebrating 15 years since Question 6 and nearly 35 years since Roe V. Wade. But friends, these are the decisions and referendums of yesterday. We must be ever vigilant of those yet to come,” said Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown. “We need your support, your strength and your solidarity to help us get Maryland back on a path toward prolonged progress.”
Our first ever Choice Advocate Award is being presented to retired Senator Sharon Grosfeld (D-18), who has worked tirelessly throughout her career to protect reproductive rights for the residents of Maryland. Grosfeld continues this tradition as Executive Director of the Democratic national Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum.
NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland uses the funds raised at this event to support our work in helping to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding her full range of reproductive options. With the right to choose and right to privacy being attacked at every level, and even now with the Supreme Court changes, public support has never been more vital!
