Health Care's Silver Lining
Despite abortion restrictions, The Valley Advocate claims that health care reform is beneficial to women and children. One of the benefits is protections for working mothers who are nursing, including the guarantee of a private location other than a bathroom and adequate time to pump. Another benefit is the birth of the Blocker-Stokes law which will allocate $3 million in federal funding to combat postpartum psychosis through research and public education, a service for women.
