Maryland has two wonderful senators, Milkuski and Cardin who support Choice. Is there need for concern in Maryland ?
We are lucky to have two solidly pro-choice Senators representing us in Washington. However, these Senators still need to know their constituents support their pro-choice values. They need our support and encouragement to take a leadership role in pro-choice issues.

It is important to remember that most restrictions on abortion access are passed on the state level. Maryland's General Assembly has many wonderful pro-choice members that deserve our support. It also has anti-choice legislators who are actively trying to limit our rights.

Maryland's Governor, Martin O'Malley is pro-choice but the legislature is not solidly pro-choice and therefoere it is conceivable that strong anti-choice laws can be passed in the state.

4.
What does it mean to be pro-choice?
To be pro-choice is to support a woman's fundamental right to make her own personal decisions regarding her reproductive health, including the ability to have an abortion. It also means believing that women need to be given a broad range of reproductive choices, including access to contraceptives and comprehensive sexuality education.
