Frustraition
As a clinic operator, I hear many sad stories. But the one I am sharing here shocked me! Today a woman came in to our Maryland clinic in need of a first trimester abortion. She had driven all the way from Kentucky. Her doctor there told her abortion was illegal in Kentucky-- this is not true! First trimester abortions are legal across the US, in every state. Because the doctor lied to her, she drove 20 hours roundtrip to our clinic in Maryland for a basic medical service. I am glad we were her to help her, but I am so frustrated she couldn't get proper medical care in her home state.
