Baltimore City Residents: Support Women's Access to Unbiased Health Care
Stand Up for Women's Health in Baltimore City! On October 5, Baltimore City Council President Stephanie Rawlings Blake introduced common sense legislation that will provide women with the information needed to determine if a Crisis Pregnancy Center offers the services that best meet her needs. Our research shows that CPCs often use false and misleading information to dissuade women from considering their full range of reproductive health options, including birth control and abortion. This legislation simply requires CPCs to post a sign informing potential clients that they do not refer or provide for birth control or abortion - a statement that CPCs do not deny. Please read the facts about this landmark legislation and tell Baltimore City Council you support women's access to unbiased health care. The first hearing on this bill is Tuesday October 27 and we need your help TODAY to ensure it passes.
